History: MSO Marine currently occupies Brentside Wharf, where boats have been built and repaired since the 1700's. Once the home of the world famous E.C.Jones & Sons who used to design and build Bantum Tugs. MSO Marine has been trading under this title since 1996. In 2005 MSO incorporated as Olivers Boatyard Ltd trading as MSO Marine.
What we do: At the Boatyard MSO Marine principally provides marine services on the River Thames and Grand Union Canal. The type of work undertaken ranges from design build and management of entire marinas, new build barges, motor launches, houseboats, pier maintenance, survey, repairs, maintenance of various craft & installations. In addition, special projects can be undertaken as we are a multi talented boat building/repair, civil engineering company. Please contact either Jake , Luke or Pauline with your requirements.
Location: MSO Marine boatyard is situated at the junction of the Grand Union Canal, Thames and River Brent. Dock Road is just off Brentford High Street Opposite Morrison's Supermarket or Kew Gardens by river!
Jake Oliver is one of the directors and has over Twenty year's experience of living and working on the River. His first marine business was in 1986, concentrating on steel fabrication and joinery as a mobile business along the Thames. Jake has great expertise in most aspects of the marine industry and is well known on the River for his experience, and high quality work.

Pauline Hill runs and organizes the office side of the business. Skilled in business management personnel and accounts. Pauline has lived on different boats on The Grand Union Canal and Thames for over 25 years. She is also very interested in solutions to environmental issues. (See news)
Luke Oliver is a highly skilled and talented welder fabricator with over 18 years experience in the marine construction industry. Previously he attended Falmouth school of boatbuilding. Luke is excellent at design and build solutions and along with the team he ensures that ‘the Highest quality workmanship is standard at MSO'.MSO Marines permanent staff
Hubert, Marcin and Piotr, Peter, head our team of fully qualified welders.

Buster Oliver is a qualified mechanic; he attends college on day release and is due to complete a B Tec in Engineering, he is also an accomplished boat handler.
Mat Condon and James Hebden are fully apprenticed Joiners, with many years experience at boat fitting, they run our onsite Joinery Workshop.

Mark Montgomery-Smith - once a founder partner of MSO Marine is a Civil Engineer with a wealth of experience on tidal waters since qualifying in 1986. He has previously worked for Costain's, Shoreline Engineering and then went it alone in 1991 with Montgomery-Smith Civil Engineering. Mark now runs Eel Pie Boatyard in Twickenham
Ted Conibear: a master of Fiberglass has been glassing in England for many years with lots of fine examples of his work.
